    i love your tutorials :)

maybe one of the next would be manage the "damn flash", maybe not stuff like these: http://flickr.com/photos/rouz/378148409/ and http://flickr.com/photos/kamelasoft/2458789955/ which i think it's hard to fix, but maybe stuff simpler ;)

on flickr i found also these: http://www.flickr.com/photos/funadium/2368626808/ and http://flickr.com/photos/funadium/2367794793/
i tried to fix the original, but i didn't arrive as the same his result :(

btw... thanks for your great job :)

    thanks xdms.
It's strange that you couldn't reproduce it. If you use exactly the same values for contrast and saturation dialogs you should get the exactly same output in theory. The only difference I can think of is that I worked with the full sized images, but at least you should have gotten something very similar =(

The tutorial was done using the latest 0.10 svn version but should work exactly the same way with the stable one.

About your links, yes. Removing those flashes will be pretty hard. Although... I really wonder how you managed shooting those at the _exact_ (milliseconds?) that the flashes were lighting. Impressive

no, i was referring to the image on flickr, i didn't arrive at the same his result ( http://flickr.com/photos/funadium/2367794793/ ), starting from the same image ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/funadium/2368626808/ )

about yours, it's quite similar, i tried using different values :)

i didn't took that photos, just found on flickr ;)

Great tutorials! I've checked them all and now I practiced on a downsized photo from a profile-site. Adding more sharpness/unsharp mask I sort of reacreated the image to original quality :D.

    TnX! TnX! TnX!

Thanks for the great tutorials, I have followed every one. Before I read them, I look at the first and last photos to get an idea of what is happening. In this one, the last photo does look over saturated and processed. I thought that even before I read your warning about going too far. So you may want to tone down the saturation just a tad in that image. Thanks!

Uhm, I didn't think it was overdone this time, but that's up to the taste of each I guess. I can assure you it's exactly what my eyes saw. Sun was hitting hard through the leaves and that increased green contrast.

My question here is... if you had not seen the original photo, would you have known that it was so much processed? ;)

thanks again for your tutorials. I have used them to teach myself these tricks and then teach them to my wife. keep them coming. On a side note, is there a way of applying color etc setting to a selection only (not the whole image)?

@elkin: not in Showfoto, since Showfoto doesn't support masking/regions, but you can do that in Krita. I use Showfoto in the tutorials for now since I find it more intuitive
